Amidst the global pandemic, the 2020 Hillsborough real estate market shattered all performance indicators from 2019. This year's market over-performed in all critical metrics including substantial improvements in volume of sales, price per sq. ft., median sales price, and days on market. Even with the market pausing for Covid in the usual Spring peak of March/April/May, Hillsborough still posted 133 closed MLS sales in 2020, compared to 2019's 119 closed sales! Truly remarkable. What's more, the average price per sq. ft. for closed sales eclipsed $1,200 per foot for the first time in history, posting a $1,212 per sq. ft. average (up from 2019's $1,133 average for closed sales).  Hillsborough homes were also selling faster than ever in 2020. Average Days on Market were down from 47 days in 2019 to just 30 days in 2020.
